The State Chairman of IPAC, Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi, told reporters that the council has already begun collecting detailed reports and feedback from political parties, election observers, community leaders, and voters across the constituency.
“Our aim is to produce a report that reflects the reality on the ground,” Abayomi explained. “We are carefully gathering and analyzing information from every angle before making a public declaration.”
He confirmed that a full press release would soon be issued, outlining the council’s official position on the conduct and outcome of the election.
The by-election, held to fill the seat of the late Honourable Onanuga, witnessed fierce competition among the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Labour Party.
With the credibility of the process under scrutiny, IPAC’s findings are expected to carry significant weight in shaping conversations around electoral reforms and democratic standards in Ogun State.
Reaffirming the council’s guiding principles, Abayomi stressed that Ogun IPAC remains committed to peaceful elections, transparency, and fairness in political participation across the state.
