After a charged stakeholders meeting in Gombe, party leaders from the Middle Belt declared unwavering loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.
Forum chairman Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga said in a statement on Monday that the zone will work as one to return Tinubu in 2027. He called the support a duty to stability and growth.
Zazzaga reminded members that the nomination of a running mate rests with the President alone. He added that the choice would reflect what best secures victory and cohesion.
The forum dismissed tension over a brief scuffle in Gombe as an isolated flare up. Calm, he said, is already restored.
Members argued that a single incident cannot overshadow the progress made under Tinubu and Ganduje.
They praised Ganduje for guarding party neutrality and for steady adherence to constitutional duties.
The statement listed electoral figures to prove the strategic weight of the region.
In 2023 the North Central bloc delivered more than one point seven million votes to the ruling party, ranking behind only the South West and North West.
Leaders promised to raise that haul to six million in 2027 through early outreach, civic education, and relentless ground work. Volunteer teams will fan out across rural wards from August.
Zazzaga urged every member to avoid distractions and trust the stewardship of the current leadership.
He said, “It is the President’s exclusive right to choose his Vice President; our job is to deliver the votes.”
