The forms were purchased in Abuja by the Chairman of the Commissioners’ Forum and Commissioner for Finance, Abubakar Chika, alongside the Commissioner for Special Duties, Zayyanu Aleiro, on behalf of the forum.

The development follows a resolution reportedly reached during a political meeting in Birnin Kebbi, where commissioners passed a vote of confidence in Governor Idris and pledged support for his continued leadership.

The APC recently announced the commencement of its nomination process, opening the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms to aspirants nationwide. The forms, priced at N50 million, are being issued at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Political activities within the ruling party have intensified in recent weeks, with aspirants and supporters beginning consultations and strategic alignments ahead of the 2027 elections.

Governor Idris has consistently emphasised unity within the party structure and has publicly reaffirmed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during recent political engagements in the state.
