Jamo made the remarks during an appearance on a political programme on Channels Television, where he emphasised the importance of unity and inclusiveness within the APC.
He stated that his preference would be to see all political actors, regardless of past affiliations, return to the party in the interest of strengthening its base.
Jamo brings Kwankwaso back APC sentiment was evident in his comments as he openly declared his willingness to facilitate the return of the former governor, noting that the APC should remain open to reconciling with influential political figures.
He suggested that broader participation would enhance the party’s prospects and national appeal.
His statement comes in the wake of Kwankwaso’s recent defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), following his resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The move attracted significant attention, with prominent political figures attending his formal reception into the ADC in Kano.
Kwankwaso’s political realignment has been widely interpreted as part of broader strategic positioning ahead of the 2027 elections, as alliances continue to shift across Nigeria’s political landscape.
Jamo’s remarks indicate that some within the APC are still open to reversing such moves where possible.
