The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke, disclosed this in a statement issued through the Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, Ogunseye Olayinka, outlining arrangements for the exercise.

According to the commission, the process will run from 29 April to 5 May 2026, with daily operations scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at INEC local government offices statewide.

The exercise is designed to allow registered voters, newly registered applicants, and individuals who requested data updates or transfers to verify their details on the preliminary register.

INEC also explained that members of the public will have the opportunity to identify and report errors or omissions for correction, strengthening the accuracy of voter records ahead of future elections.

The commission further stated that objections may be raised against ineligible entries, including underage persons, deceased individuals, and non-citizens whose names may have appeared in the register.

Officials described the initiative as part of broader efforts to safeguard the credibility of Nigeria’s electoral process and ensure a transparent voter database.

INEC reaffirmed its commitment to public participation, urging eligible citizens in Ondo State to take full advantage of the opportunity to verify and correct their details.
