2027: Ekiti PDP Senate Candidate Pledges Inclusive Representation

Ekiti PDP senatorial candidate Olusegun Osinkolu pledges inclusive representation, better healthcare, education and youth empowerment ahead of the 2027 elections

Osinkolu said his candidacy offered voters an opportunity to address what he described as years of neglect and underdevelopment in the district.

According to a statement he made available in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, the candidate made the remarks during a tour of the five local government areas in Ekiti North: Moba, Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje, Oye and Ikole.

He attributed the district’s alleged underdevelopment to what he described as the lackadaisical attitude of its representatives at the National Assembly.

Osinkolu urged voters across party lines to support his candidacy in the 2027 senatorial election, saying the district needed a change in representation.

“The 2027 senatorial election gives the people of this district the opportunity to effect change and redress the backwardness by voting right, voting for me as the right candidate, whether you belong to the PDP or not,” he said.

The PDP candidate outlined youth and women’s empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare delivery and agricultural development as priorities if he secures the mandate.

He also pledged to pursue effective legislation aimed at attracting federal projects and ensuring that the benefits of democratic governance reach communities across Ekiti North.

Osinkolu commended PDP supporters in the district for their commitment to the party and their willingness to work towards the success of its candidates across Ekiti State.

Expressing confidence in the party’s prospects, he predicted a strong showing for the PDP in the district during the 2027 general elections.

“The PDP will, no doubt, bounce back during the 2027 general elections with a convincing and landslide victory in Ekiti North Senatorial District,” he said.

He urged party members to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the polls, describing unity as essential to the party’s campaign.

Osinkolu further pledged to prioritise the welfare of constituents in his decisions if elected, saying he would work to justify the confidence placed in him by voters.
