Governor Francis Nwifuru announced the sweeping suspension on Monday through a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor.
The action was taken after the affected officials failed to attend what was described as an “important government function.”
The suspended group includes 25 commissioners, 14 senior special assistants, 24 special assistants, and 22 permanent secretaries.
They are barred from signing any official documents during the suspension period and must hand over duties immediately.

Officials were reminded that public office demands consistent commitment and presence. Governor Nwifuru reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to uphold discipline, responsibility, and public trust.
