Dokubo Kwankwaso 2027 opposition threat as Asari Dokubo vows to campaign against Rabiu Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 elections
Former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo has declared that he will mobilise against former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Dokubo Kwankwaso 2027 opposition threat emerged in a video circulating on social media, where Asari Dokubo accused Rabiu Kwankwaso of attempting to mislead Muslim voters.
He further claimed that Kwankwaso would face rejection in Kano during the upcoming polls, expressing confidence that voters would not support his political ambition.
Asari Dokubo stated that he would actively lead a campaign against the former governor, using strong language to question his political credibility.
He also accused Rabiu Kwankwaso of manipulating religious and political sentiments for electoral advantage.
The remarks come amid heightened political activity following Kwankwaso’s reported departure from the New Nigeria People’s Party and growing alignment with the African Democratic Congress.
Political consultations within opposition circles have intensified as various blocs position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
Rabiu Kwankwaso has not issued any public response to the comments as of the time of filing this report.
