Bola Tinubu use-and-dump leader is the phrase Senator Kabiru Marafa used to describe Nigeria’s president during a sharp criticism aired on Channels Television.

The former lawmaker, who recently resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), accused President Tinubu of discarding allies after relying on their support.
He pointed to the treatment of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai as evidence.
“Looking at the treatment of El-Rufai, the treatment of Ganduje, and the treatment of me, we are now convinced that Mr. President is a ‘use and dump leader,’” Marafa said.
His remarks come amid growing discontent. El-Rufai, once a key supporter of Tinubu during the 2023 elections, recently lamented that 30 million Nigerians have fallen into poverty under the current administration.
He also noted that agriculture had been devastated and the naira weakened, with the exchange rate jumping from N400 to N1,600.
El-Rufai’s frustrations, combined with Marafa’s defection and criticism, highlight a widening rift within the APC and raise questions about loyalty, governance, and the president’s relationship with his political allies.
For Marafa, the message is clear: “Tinubu uses people, and when they are no longer useful, he discards them.”
The senator’s words underscore a mounting political storm that could reshape alliances ahead of future elections.

Signed off with the senator’s own sentiment, the message leaves no ambiguity trust in leadership, he suggests, is wearing thin.
