The endorsement was announced during a rally held in Iwo on Friday, which drew APC members, particularly youths and women, to show support for Oyebamiji’s candidature.
The group highlighted his tenure as Commissioner for Finance under former governors Rauf Aregbesola and Gboyega Oyetola, as well as his two-year leadership of the National Inland Waterways Authority.
Chairman of the caucus, Yekeen Abilagbo, described Oyebamiji as the most qualified aspirant in the race, stating that his record positions him to lead Osun State to prosperity.
“Bola Oyebamiji has shown he has the capacity to lead this state to prosperity. He performed exceptionally well as Commissioner for Finance under two administrations,” Abilagbo said.
He added that Oyebamiji’s impact was also widely felt at the federal level, citing his appointment by the Federal Government to head the National Inland Waterways Authority.
“We want somebody like that, and we hope he emerges as the party’s candidate and the next governor of Osun,” he said.
Taofeeq Adeniyi, an APC chieftain from Iwo, noted that while all aspirants are competent, Oyebamiji stands out for his leadership qualities, administrative experience, and commitment to party members.

“All the aspirants are qualified; they are even better than the present governor. But we are supporting Oyebamiji because he is an experienced administrator, a banker of repute, and a leader who genuinely cares about party members,” he said.
