APC Ramadan Discipline: Lagos State APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi urges Muslims to uphold spiritual practices and values after Ramadan
Cornelius Ojelabi has called on Muslims to sustain the discipline and spiritual renewal cultivated during Ramadan, speaking at the third edition of the All Progressives Congress’ annual Ramadan public lecture held at the LTV 8 Blue Roof in Ikeja on Tuesday.
The event, themed “Maintaining Our Spirituality After Ramadan,” brought together party members, Islamic clerics, and supporters.

Represented by Muyideen Daramola, Ojelabi urged participants to avoid returning to habits that could erode the benefits gained during the fasting period, categorising participants as those who begin but fail to complete fasting, those who abandon it midway, and those who observe it fully.
Chairman of the Ramadan Lecture Planning Committee, Moshood Mayegun, acknowledged the challenges of scheduling the programme due to party activities, including congresses and state executive changes, but praised the successful hosting of the lecture.
He encouraged members to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2027 elections and mobilise their communities in support of President Bola Tinubu.
Guest speaker, AbdulRahman Lawal, highlighted the importance of maintaining spiritual gains beyond Ramadan.

He described fasting as a path to righteousness, spiritual cleansing, and personal well-being, stressing the need for consistency in daily prayers and other acts of worship.
Lawal also emphasised the social benefits of fasting, including discipline, empathy, and community unity, and offered prayers for Nigeria, Lagos State, and President Tinubu.
