APC 2027 election timetable extension announced as party shifts deadlines for forms sale, submission, and screening of aspirants
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved a further extension of its timetable for the sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the 2027 general elections, in what the party described as an adjustment to streamline its internal processes.

APC extends 2027 election schedule affects key stages of its electoral preparation, including the purchase and submission of aspirants’ forms as well as the screening of candidates.
According to a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the sale of forms has now been extended to midnight on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.
The submission deadline for completed forms has also been shifted to midnight on Thursday, 7 May 2026, giving aspirants additional time to finalise their applications.
The party further announced that the screening of aspirants will now take place from Friday, 8 May to Tuesday, 12 May 2026, marking a revised schedule for the vetting process.
Following the screening exercise, the APC said it will publish the list of successful aspirants on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.

The adjustment reflects what party officials described as efforts to ensure a smooth and inclusive preparation process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
