In a statement signed by spokesperson Terhemen Tilley-Gyado, the former ADC governorship candidate in Benue, the group acknowledged and supported the voluntary resignation of National Chairman Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu.
They also endorsed Deputy National Chairman Hon. Nafiu Bala to oversee the office in an acting capacity, in line with the party’s constitution.
“This decision ensures stability and continuity in our party’s mission,” the statement read.
The candidates called on prominent figures in the coalition — including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, David Mark, Abubakar Malami, Rauf Aregbesola, and Rotimi Amaechi — to formally resign from their previous parties and register as ADC members at the ward level, in accordance with the Electoral Act.
They reaffirmed ADC’s position as a “progressive, integrity-driven platform ready to champion Nigeria’s democratic renewal” and welcomed partnerships anchored on transparency, legality, and a shared vision.
