Signed on Thursday in the capital, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy (FMACTCE) and the NSC signals a bold step toward integrating Nigeria’s cultural, creative, tourism, and sports sectors to drive economic growth and youth empowerment.

The proposed National Arts, Cultural, Creative, Tourism and Sports Innovation Hub will rise within the precinct of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

It will host facilities like a National Museum of Arts and Culture, an Entertainment Arena and Performance Centre, a Youth Creative and Entrepreneurship Centre, and eco-friendly lodges. Recreational amenities will include cultural marketplaces, a family park, and a Sports Heritage Pavilion.

Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa hailed the FMACTCE MoU as a vital alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for inclusive development, job creation, and national pride.

She emphasized the potential of this creative-sports collaboration to empower youth, preserve heritage, and tackle insecurity through meaningful engagement.

NSC Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko also backed the initiative, citing the Renewed Hope Agenda and the need to revitalize sports infrastructure to support round-the-clock cultural and athletic activities.

He stressed that the hub will evolve the stadium into a vibrant sports city and a magnet for innovation.
