Speaking during the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally for Saturday’s Ovia federal constituency bye-election, held at Inikorogha in Ovia South West, Idahosa called on residents to support the administration and its developmental agenda.
According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa highlighted that Governor Monday Okpebholo’s nine-month-old administration is already setting the pace for inclusive development and will not leave out hard-to-reach riverine areas.
“The governor has assured that riverine areas in the state will be opened up for massive development,” he said.
Clad in the community’s traditional attire, Idahosa expressed gratitude for the warm reception and longstanding political support from the people of Inikorogha.
He urged the electorate to turn out en masse to vote for the APC candidate, Omosede Igbinedion, describing her as an experienced lawmaker capable of delivering results.
“Our candidate, Omosede Igbinedion, is not a neophyte. The party chose her because we are sure of her capacity to deliver,” he noted.
Igbinedion, in her remarks, pledged to work closely with the deputy governor to bring meaningful projects to the Ovia federal constituency if elected.
Also speaking at the rally, APC chieftain Okubo Robert confidently declared that Inikorogha would deliver 100 percent of its votes to the party, reaffirming the community’s loyalty.
