PDP Declares 2027 Election Strategy to Unseat APC with Grassroots Support

PDP 2027 election strategy targets APC defeat with deep grassroots support and national reach, says spokesperson Debo Ologunagba during Abuja press briefing

The PDP 2027 election strategy is firmly in motion, with the party declaring itself the only viable alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba said the party’s structure and grassroots presence give it a decisive edge ahead of the 2027 polls.

“We are organic and nationally rooted. There is no community in Nigeria without a PDP presence,” Ologunagba said.

He noted that while in power, the PDP implemented policies that impacted both urban and rural communities, highlighting what he called a legacy of national development.

Despite recent political defections, the PDP maintains that its core support remains unshaken. “While leaders are important, followers define a party. Our grassroots supporters are not leaving,” he said.

He added, “Nigerians are increasingly looking forward to PDP’s return to power,” suggesting that rising public engagement is a sign of growing momentum.

Ologunagba dismissed concerns about internal fractures, emphasising that reforms within the party are strengthening rather than weakening its foundation.

“Our strength lies in our people,” he stated, reinforcing the PDP’s belief that the next general election will be won not in high-level meetings but in towns and villages across the country.
