Tinubu Says Renewed Hope Agenda Impact Now Visible Through Wike’s Bold Projects

Renewed hope agenda impact is now visible in FCT as President Tinubu praises Minister Wike’s infrastructural drive for realising democratic dividends

President Bola Tinubu says the renewed hope agenda impact is now visibly transforming communities across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), thanks to the infrastructural initiatives of Minister Nyesom Wike.

On Monday, the president, represented by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr Tajudeen Abbas, commissioned new roads in the Giri District, including the access road to the permanent site of the EFCC Academy.

In his remarks at the commissioning, President Tinubu applauded the FCT Minister’s focused execution of projects that reflect the administration’s promise to make the dividends of democracy real for all Nigerians.

“You have not only embraced the visions of my Administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, you have localised it, made it visible and made it real,” he said.

According to him, the renewed hope agenda impact is no longer theoretical or limited to rhetoric but is instead being realised through tangible developments.

“Your actions have brought quality and excellence to the doorsteps of communities long laid in the shadows,” he added.

Speaking at the inauguration, the president emphasised that the newly constructed roads were more than just pathways; they were tools of unity and inclusion.

“Honourable Minister, the roads we commission here today in Giri District are more than access ways. They are bridges of inclusion, signals of recognition, instruments of national unity,” he said.

The president stressed that the administration’s intent was clear—no community would be left behind, no matter how small or distant.

This renewed phase of FCT development is visible in various districts such as Maitama, Jahi, Katampe, Wuye, Mabushi, and satellite towns including Gwagwalada, Kwali, Bwari, and Abaji.

You have not only embraced the visions of my Administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, you have localised it, made it visible and made it real.

Tinubu highlighted that the growth was equally extending to less prominent areas like Kabusa, Keti, Sheretti and now Giri.

Dr Abbas, delivering the president’s speech, reinforced the administration’s determination to leave a lasting legacy of inclusiveness through strategic infrastructural development.

“These newly constructed access roads are not just infrastructural achievements, they are statements of intent,” he noted. The president credited Wike’s leadership as central to this transformation.

Minister Wike’s tenure as FCT Minister has drawn both local and national attention for his fast-paced and high-impact infrastructural projects.

His style, often described as direct and result-oriented, aligns closely with President Tinubu’s vision of accelerated national progress.

Residents of Giri have expressed joy over the improvements. “We used to feel forgotten out here,” said Musa Dauda, a small business owner in the district.

“But with these roads, it’s like Abuja has finally remembered us.”

The FCT Administration’s roadworks have improved mobility, raised property values and opened up remote communities to more economic opportunities.

The president’s endorsement of Wike’s projects indicates confidence in his leadership and signals a deepening of federal commitment to infrastructural equity across the capital territory.

The renewed hope agenda impact is thus becoming more pronounced, with physical infrastructure serving as the most immediate evidence.

As the FCT continues to expand and diversify, development experts say the challenge will be maintaining quality while accelerating delivery.

So far, however, the projects in Giri suggest that the FCT Administration is intent on achieving both.

Through such symbolic and practical efforts, Tinubu’s government hopes to enshrine the renewed hope agenda impact not just as a slogan, but as a lived reality for millions of Nigerians—especially those who have historically been left on the margins of federal attention.
