INEC Nasarawa North senatorial by-election candidates list released as APC, PDP, LP and NNPP contenders prepare for June 20 poll
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates for the Nasarawa North Senatorial District by-election scheduled to hold on June 20, 2026.

The announcement confirms four candidates who will contest the vacant Senate seat, marking a key step in the build-up to the closely watched electoral contest.
INEC Nasarawa North senatorial by-election candidates list includes Halilu Onda Enyulu-Uza of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Maku Labaran of the Labour Party (LP), John Paul Aaraneshi of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and Emmanuel David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The publication of the final list signals the formal commencement of intensified political activities across the five local government areas that make up the senatorial district, as parties mobilise supporters ahead of the polls.
INEC has reiterated its commitment to delivering a credible, transparent and peaceful election, in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act and its established guidelines.
The Nasarawa North Senatorial District comprises Akwanga, Wamba, Nassarawa Eggon, Kokona and Nasarawa Local Government Areas, all of which are expected to play a decisive role in the outcome of the election.
