Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is a prominent Nigerian politician and legal practitioner from Edo State.
Born on June 21, 1962, he obtained his law degree from the University of Benin and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987.
His political career is characterized by significant roles within various administrations.
He served as Chief of Staff to the Edo State Government from 1999 to 2003 and subsequently as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) from 2003 to 2007.
Ize-Iyamu has been a key figure in major political campaigns, serving as Director General of Adams Oshiomhole’s second-term campaign and coordinator for Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign in Edo State.
A two-time gubernatorial candidate, he contested the Edo State governorship election in 2016 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and in 2020 under the All Progressives Congress (APC), showcasing his enduring influence in the state’s political landscape.
