The call was made during the district’s maiden meeting at the Ibara GRA residence of former governor Chief Olusegun Osoba.

The gathering, presided over by APC Chairman for the senatorial district, Mr Sunday Sowunmi, brought together key party figures, including Senator Shuaib Salisu, House of Representatives member Afolabi Afuape, Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly Daisi Elemide, former Speaker Tunji Egbetokun, and former Nigerian Ambassador to the UK Sarafadeen Tunji Ishola.

Speaking to journalists, Senator Salisu described the meeting as a platform to mobilise support, strengthen cohesion, and boost party membership through ongoing e-registration efforts.

He disclosed that one local government area had already registered over 15,000 members within a week, with a broader goal to reach at least 50–51 per cent of registered voters across the state.

“The process is still ongoing, and by the time it is concluded, it will be evident that the APC is firmly positioned as the dominant party in the Central Senatorial District,” Salisu said.

He further urged members to continue supporting both the President and the state government, noting that ongoing reforms were now producing visible results.

Sarafadeen Tunji Ishola echoed the call for unity, warning that disunity could undermine the party’s ambitions.

He stressed that inclusive leadership at the grassroots would ensure fair primaries, a sense of belonging for all members, and effective mobilisation during elections.

“Our President, Bola Tinubu, has always emphasised inclusive leadership. The unity of party members is crucial to having a very successful election,” Ishola said.
