Speaking exclusively to Arewa PUNCH on Monday, Babura said the intervention, which occurred on Christmas night, signals a “strong collaborative approach to counterterrorism” that could bolster the nation’s security framework.

“While the strike was a positive development, it must be complemented by robust domestic policies to address banditry and insurgency across the North,” he added, emphasising the need for proactive governance, well-equipped military operations, and effective intelligence sharing.

Babura also cautioned that military actions must ensure civilian safety while addressing insurgency, warning against operations that endanger local communities.

Reflecting on the Kano State administration under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Babura praised the state leadership for its developmental initiatives, transparency, and youth empowerment programmes.

“I urge the governor to continue focusing on infrastructural development, education, and effective governance while maintaining inclusiveness in policy implementation,” he stated.

A member of the APC and a businessman in the real estate sector, Babura highlighted his ongoing philanthropic efforts, including educational initiatives and community development projects across Jigawa State.

He expressed commitment to public service and hinted at possible political engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

Born on September 24, 1991, in Kano State to Alhaji Abdulhamid Abdullahi Babura and Hajiya Halima Abdulhamid Babura, Najash Babura is originally from Babura Local Government Area in Jigawa State and belongs to the Hausa ethnic group.
