Uba Sani medical bill intervention praised by Irigwe community after governor’s swift action saves injured Angwan Rimi children at Barau Dikko Hospital
Uba Sani medical bill intervention has drawn heartfelt praise from the Irigwe community in Kamaru Ward, Chawai Chiefdom, Kaduna State, after his prompt action ensured the continuation of life-saving treatment for victims of the Angwan Rimi attack.

In an open letter dated 22 September 2025, community leaders Mr Barnabas Musa and Comrade Raphael Joshua expressed deep appreciation to Governor Uba Sani, noting that his swift and compassionate response had saved the lives of children whose treatment at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital had been suspended due to unpaid bills.
“We write to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Your Excellency for your prompt and compassionate intervention,” the letter read.
“Your swift response has brought renewed hope and comfort to our distressed community.”
The confirmation of the full payment, received on Sunday via the Chairman of Kauru LGA, Hon Bashir Tanko Dawaki, marked a turning point for the victims.
Medical care resumed shortly after, restoring hope in what the community described as the governor’s “people-oriented leadership.”
Governor Sani’s action came in response to a public appeal following the brutal 15 September attack on Angwan Rimi village, where gunmen killed two people and left several children critically injured.
The victims were initially admitted to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital but faced halted treatment due to financial constraints.
The community also commended Commissioner for Health, Hajiya Umma Ahmad, for her professionalism and lauded Dawaki for carrying out the governor’s directive “with dedication and empathy.”
This intervention has not only restored medical attention to the injured but has also reaffirmed public confidence in the Sani administration.
Residents say it is a clear reflection of leadership anchored on empathy and decisive action.
