Farouk Mustapha is a seasoned Nigerian politician from Bauchi State, known for his long-standing engagement in the nation’s political landscape.
His career spans nearly three decades, including being a member of the Constituent Assembly that drafted the 1989 constitution.
Mustapha held significant party positions, serving as the State Chairman of the Peoples Solidarity Party (PSP) and later as the Adamawa State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) from 1990 to 1991.
He was a gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa in 1991.
Subsequently, he joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 1998 and played a crucial role in the Action Congress (AC), eventually becoming its Deputy National Chairman.
He was also involved in the APC’s presidential campaign in 2015 and is a member of the APC Board of Trustees.
