The position was announced at a conference held at the organisation’s headquarters, where its President, Vincent Ibhaze, highlighted key policy decisions introduced by the administration.

A joint statement signed by Ibhaze and Executive Secretary Ken Obue praised the removal of the longstanding fuel subsidy, describing it as necessary to reduce fiscal pressure and redirect resources toward infrastructure and social investments.

The organisation also commended the government’s foreign exchange unification policy, aimed at stabilising the currency market, boosting investor confidence, and eliminating distortions from multiple exchange rates.

Tax reforms designed to simplify compliance, expand revenue generation, and reduce borrowing dependency were also highlighted as part of broader fiscal sustainability efforts.

Infrastructure development received particular attention, with the centre noting ongoing railway projects, road rehabilitation, power sector reforms, and digital innovation as central to improving productivity and stimulating industrial growth.

Social investment initiatives, including student loan schemes and targeted welfare interventions, were recognised for cushioning the impact of economic adjustments while enhancing access to education and opportunities.

On security, the organisation highlighted strengthened collaboration with international partners, notably the United States, in intelligence sharing and counter-terrorism operations, stressing the importance of security for national stability and investment attraction.

Speaking at the event, Ibhaze said sustained implementation of the reforms could position Nigeria among global leaders such as United Arab Emirates, China, and Singapore within the next two decades.

He emphasised the need for continuity, institutional strengthening, and bipartisan cooperation to ensure measurable national transformation.

The organisation urged opposition parties not to politicise structural reforms and encouraged responsible engagement to maintain policy momentum beyond electoral cycles.

It concluded that debate remains essential in a democracy, but the focus must remain on sustaining reforms to achieve economic resilience, stability, and global competitiveness.
