Tinubu Japan State Visit Confirmed Amid Health Rumors, Says Orji Kalu

Tinubu Japan state visit has been confirmed by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who dismissed widespread rumors surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s health, urging Nigerians to stay focused on the administration’s achievements.

In a video shared via his official Facebook page, the Senator representing Abia North addressed the growing speculation triggered by President Tinubu’s absence from recent public engagements.

The lawmaker assured the public that the president remains in good shape and is preparing for official travel.

“The president is going to Japan for a state visit and will stop over in Brazil before returning to attend the United Nations General Assembly in September,” Kalu said.

The president’s recent low public visibility had sparked intense speculation, with some suggesting he was critically ill.

However, the Presidency previously debunked the rumors, stating that Tinubu is working from home and in good health.

Kalu, a former governor of Abia State, reiterated this in his video, emphasizing that political distractions over the president’s health are unnecessary.

“Even if he is not in good health, someone can be sick and still recover to travel. Let’s stop this nonsense,” he said bluntly.

Senator Kalu urged both citizens and political actors to concentrate on governance and the progress recorded under the Tinubu-led administration.

He expressed confidence that the president would continue to deliver results and maintain Nigeria’s engagement on the international stage.

“Nigerian people and politicians should stop this rumour and focus on what we are doing. We have done so many things and will continue to be on track,” he said.

President Tinubu’s upcoming state visit to Japan underscores Nigeria’s ongoing diplomatic engagements in Asia and South America.

With a stopover in Brazil and a scheduled appearance at the United Nations General Assembly in September, the president is expected to bolster Nigeria’s global partnerships.
