During a courtesy visit to the APC national leadership in Abuja on Friday, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and praised President Tinubu’s impactful leadership, stating that Nigerians would overwhelmingly support him for a second term.
“We are grateful to our National Leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his bold and transformative policies that are reshaping our economy and laying the foundation for lasting prosperity,” Ododo said.
He credited Tinubu’s decisive actions, particularly in the petroleum and monetary sectors, as necessary interventions that are already yielding long-term benefits.
“It takes a bold heart to take tough decisions. His patriotism will earn him a second term. We are ready to ensure victory for him in 2027 and beyond.”
Ododo noted that his administration in Kogi had adopted a servant-leadership approach, which has significantly improved public trust and party credibility.
He highlighted achievements in security, agriculture, infrastructure, and social services within his first 14 months in office.
“Our inclusive governance, prioritising youth and women, is creating new leaders and restoring hope,” he added.
“The APC has never been stronger in Kogi, and we are well-positioned for greater success in 2027.”
In his remarks, APC National Chairman Dr Ganduje echoed Ododo’s sentiments, stressing that President Tinubu’s administration is rooted in knowledge-based governance rather than guesswork or influence.
“We are not governing by trial and error. We are leading with expertise,” Ganduje said, describing the APC as a dynamic, evolving party focused on delivering for Nigerians.
He commended Ododo for maintaining a strong relationship with his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, noting that harmonious succession remains rare in Nigerian politics.
“One major issue in our politics is conflict between governors and their predecessors. You’ve shown leadership and maturity in sustaining peace. That’s progressivism at work,” Ganduje said.
The APC Chairman also hinted at research initiatives to explore the causes of such political conflicts and pledged continuous party support to the Ododo administration.

“Our party is expanding because Mr President has created the right environment for growth. The reforms are working, and we are proud to see governors like you make real impact,” Ganduje concluded.
