Soludo backs Tinubu with strong support, highlighting 22-year friendship and bold economic reforms shaping Nigeria’s future
Soludo backs Tinubu as the Anambra State Governor reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

Grounded in a remarkable 22-year friendship and admiration for Tinubu’s bold economic reforms, Soludo’s endorsement reflects a positive outlook for Nigeria’s progress.
Speaking after a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Governor Soludo emphasized that his backing is firm despite not being a member of the All Progressives Congress.
“President Tinubu is my friend; he has been my friend for 22 years now and counting, so you don’t deny your friend,” he said.
“I support him, and I’m impressed by the bold steps he has taken, particularly in the areas of the economy and structural reforms. We’re taking the right steps and we need to stay the course.”
Describing Tinubu as “in high spirits, hale and hearty,” Soludo urged political parties with progressive ideals to unite in a broad coalition.
He believes this will strengthen democracy and accelerate economic and social development in Nigeria.
On the security front, Soludo revealed that Anambra’s approach combines both “kinetic and non-kinetic” strategies.
The state’s Homeland Security Law, enacted in January, has successfully driven out harmful elements exploiting youths. “We’re dealing with insecurity from the foundations,” he said.
Soludo highlighted a one-year skills and empowerment program that has trained about 5,000 youths, with another 8,700 slated to receive funding soon.
“We’re creating several thousands of youth millionaires within our first three years,” he added enthusiastically.
The governor concluded by reaffirming his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, intelligence gathering, infrastructure development, and social investments as pillars for tackling hardship and ensuring lasting peace in Anambra State.
