Six members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly resign from the PDP, increasing speculation of a move to the APC amid political realignments
Six members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Adamawa State House of Assembly have resigned from the party, bringing to seven the total number of lawmakers who left PDP in the last two days.

The resignations follow Abubakar Abdullahi’s departure on Monday, February 23. Lawmakers who announced their exit on Monday include:
- Deputy Speaker Mohammed Buba Jidjiwa, representing Jada and Mbulo Constituency
- Kefas Kalvin, representing Toungo Constituency
- Bulus Geoffrey, representing Leko and Koma Constituency
- Haruna Jilantikiri, representing Madagali Constituency
- Kefas Emmanuel, representing Song Constituency
- Ahmed Jingi Bele, representing Maiha Constituency
The defections come amid rising speculation that Governor Ahmadu Fintiri may be aligning with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
