Peter Obi 2027 victory over Tinubu and Atiku is predicted by Sam Amadi, who cites youth support and the 2023 electoral map
Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, has stated that Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, will defeat President Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 general elections.

Amadi made the comments during an interview on Symfoni TV. He argued that the current electoral map does not guarantee victory for either Tinubu or Atiku.
He recalled that Tinubu entered the 2023 election as the candidate widely perceived to have transformed Lagos State, despite a relatively limited campaign.
By contrast, Amadi said Nigerian youths are now throwing their weight behind Obi, the former Anambra State governor.
Amadi linked his assessment to the level of support Obi received in the last election. He maintained that if the 2023 poll had been free, fair and credible, Obi would have emerged as president.
“There is this sense that Nigeria needs something new, and the restiveness and disruption during the 2020 EndSARS incident is a milestone for Obi,” Amadi said.
He added that in the previous election Obi had almost more than half of the electorate on his side, with clear indications of strong performance in Rivers, Plateau and some northern states, though the Independent National Electoral Commission did not declare him the winner.

Amadi’s remarks form part of early commentary on the 2027 presidential race as political actors begin to position themselves.
