Lam-Adesina: Oyo APC Ready to Reclaim State in 2027

Lam-Adesina says the peaceful Oyo APC congress and emergence of Moses Adeyemo as chairman show the party is ready to reclaim the state in 2027

A former member of the House of Representatives, Dapo Lam-Adesina, has said the peaceful conduct of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) congress in Oyo State shows that the party is fully prepared to reclaim the state in the 2027 general elections.

Lam-Adesina also congratulated party members on the successful emergence of new executives during the congress.

During the exercise held on Tuesday, APC members in the state elected Moses Adeyemo as the new chairman of the party.

Adeyemo, who hails from Igboho in Oorelope Local Government Area, previously served as deputy governor under the late Abiola Ajimobi between 2011 and 2019.

In a statement issued by his media office on Thursday, Lam-Adesina said the smooth conduct of congresses across wards, local government areas and the state level demonstrates unity within the party and readiness for the next electoral cycle.

According to him, Adeyemo’s emergence through consensus reflects strong internal cohesion and positions the party for success.

“Congratulations to our dear father and the new chairman of the APC in Oyo State. His emergence is, without doubt, the dawn of a new era for the party,” Lam-Adesina said.

“He’s bringing his years of political and administrative experience to lead the party to victory next year.”

He added that the party is determined to reclaim the state from the opposition ahead of the 2027 elections.
