Oyetola predicts APC victory in Osun 2026, expressing strong confidence that the All Progressives Congress will reclaim power in the state if party unity is sustained.

Speaking in Iragbiji, Osun State, on Monday during celebrations marking his 71st birthday, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Osun governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, said the signs were positive for the APC as it prepares for the 2026 governorship election.
“By God’s special grace, our party will emerge victorious in the forthcoming 2026 gubernatorial election.
I thank God for the way things are going with our party—how we have been able to stand in unity,” he said.
“I want to encourage us to continue in that suit and ensure peace and unity reign in the party, because that is how we can emerge victorious in 2026.”
The Oyetola predicts APC victory in Osun 2026 remarks come at a critical moment, with the political climate in the state heating up ahead of the August 8, 2026 election.
Incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party is expected to seek re-election.
Oyetola was joined at the event by prominent figures including Dr. Olatunde Badmus, Asiwaju Musulumi of South-West, Edo and Delta States, and APC governorship hopefuls such as the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, Bola Oyebamiji, and Prince Dotun Babayemi.
The minister urged the youth to remain law-abiding, warning against the dangers of drug abuse and political thuggery. “Don’t be involved in thuggery.
We didn’t get involved in drug abuse before attaining this height. Please stay away from drugs because they only lead to mental health issues,” he said.
Oyetola predicts APC victory in Osun 2026 but also warned that internal party competition must not be allowed to create divisions.
Several aspirants have already declared interest in the APC ticket, sparking concerns over unity.
In his sermon at the event, Chief Imam of Offa, Alhaji Muideen Salman, stressed the need for forgiveness and communal harmony, aligning with Oyetola’s appeal for peace.
