Governor Hope Uzodimma commended the outgoing executive led by MacDonald Ebere for meeting party expectations.

He explained that the election of a new executive reflects strict adherence to party rules and the Charter of Equity, ensuring equitable distribution of positions across the state’s three political zones.

“Because we must obey the Constitution of the party, and for Imo State in particular, our commitment to the Charter of Equity has made it necessary that some party positions move from their current zones to others. This will enable us to raise a succession plan that produces a Governor acceptable to the entire Imo people,” Uzodimma said.

The Governor added that party unity was sustained by discouraging any form of internal crisis.

He stressed the importance of rotating leadership across senatorial districts to maintain political harmony and stability.

The newly elected Chairman, Onyedebelu, and his team are now tasked with leading the party machinery in the state while upholding the principles of equity outlined in the APC Charter.

Outgoing Chairman Ebere described his tenure as dignified and pledged continued commitment to the party.
