The Director of Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Sam Amadi has advised the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to significantly broaden his political reach in Northern Nigeria as part of efforts to strengthen his chances ahead of the next general elections, stressing the importance of Obi Northern electoral expansion.

Amadi stated that expanding electoral influence in the North remains a critical strategic requirement for Obi, particularly in a highly competitive political environment where regional support bases often determine electoral outcomes.
He noted that the consideration of a joint ticket involving Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso reflects a broader recognition of the need to deepen political penetration in Northern Nigeria.
According to him, such alliances are driven by strategic calculations aimed at reshaping electoral dynamics in the region.
