The NNPP leadership crisis 2027 elections warning was issued during a world press conference held in Abuja, where Major reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the rule of law and constitutional procedures in resolving internal matters.

Agbo Major stated that the party remains guided by its constitution and legal framework, stressing that decisions on membership, discipline and leadership are not influenced by individual interests.

He expressed concern over what he described as attempts to create confusion regarding the party’s legitimate leadership despite existing judicial pronouncements on the matter.

According to him, certain individuals no longer represent the recognised leadership of the NNPP, insisting that their actions continue to fuel internal divisions within the party structure.

NNPP leadership crisis warning also highlighted concerns about political alliances, with Major cautioning that unresolved internal contradictions could weaken future collaborations.

He urged political actors to prioritise transparency and respect for due process, warning that decisions taken ahead of the elections would have long-term consequences for Nigeria’s democratic stability.

Major also called on institutions responsible for safeguarding democracy to remain neutral and uphold the rule of law, stressing the importance of judicial integrity in resolving political disputes.
