The former African Democratic Congress (ADC) Deputy National Chairman vehemently dismissed the May 18, 2025, letter as entirely false and deceptive.
In a personal statement on Friday, Bala attributed the fake letter’s emergence to mischievous elements both within and outside the ADC.
He emphasized that he remains committed to his position and the party’s values.
“I unequivocally state that I have not resigned as the Deputy National Chairman of the ADC,” Bala said, highlighting contradictions in the letter’s content and timing.
He referenced a July 2, 2025, meeting at the Yar’Adua Conference Center where his predecessor, Ralph Nwosu, publicly confirmed Bala had not resigned.
Bala also pointed out that the fake resignation letter was written on plain paper, unlike his official communications which use the party’s emblemed letterhead, raising serious doubts about its authenticity.
He challenged the legitimacy of individuals claiming new party leadership, reminding that the ADC constitution requires at least one year of continuous membership and financial compliance before assuming office.
Calling for unity and vigilance, Bala urged party members and the public to reject misinformation aimed at dividing the ADC.

“Our party stands for democracy, transparency, and integrity. I remain committed to its vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria,” he concluded.
