At a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Mr Olorunwa Adeleke, National Coordinator of the newly inaugurated National Amalgamation for the Continuation of Renewed Hope (NACRH), declared the group’s commitment to shielding President Bola Tinubu’s reform agenda from disruption and disinformation.

He said the group was founded to unify civil society organisations, trade unions, professional bodies, and grassroots movements into a coherent force for sustained reform.

According to Adeleke, “NACRH exists to shield reform momentum from disruption, prevent policy reversals, counter disinformation, and foster a culture of continuity beyond personality.”

He emphasised that President Tinubu’s policies — including fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate unification and structural fiscal reforms — could only be sustained through public consent and inclusive governance.

“This platform is not a mere campaign tool. It is a civil platform, a guardian of reform continuity, and a voice for Nigeria’s hopeful majority,” Adeleke asserted.

He urged citizens to see Tinubu’s second term not as politics, but as a matter of national interest, essential for coherent and stable governance.

Citing recent economic progress, Adeleke pointed to a 4.23% GDP growth in Q2 2025 — the fastest in four years — and inflation easing to 20.12%, the lowest in three years.

He also referenced $42.03 billion in external reserves and the disbursement of ₦330 billion to over eight million vulnerable households.

Further economic improvements included a narrowed fiscal deficit, down from 5.4% of GDP in 2023 to approximately 3% in 2024, driven by higher Internally Generated Revenue.

Adeleke said Tinubu’s administration had made “measurable gains” in infrastructure, energy and national security. He noted progress on roads, rail, power, and gas expansion, along with improved safety on previously bandit-prone highways.

He also highlighted new initiatives such as the proposed National Credit Guarantee Company to improve financial access for youth, women, and small enterprises.

The NACRH coordinator concluded by urging Nigerians at home and abroad to stand behind the administration: “With a second term, President Tinubu will consolidate these gains and drive greater development.”
