Kwankwasiyya Movement Blasts Baba-Ahmed Over Obi, Kwankwaso Claim

Kwankwasiyya Movement Baba-Ahmed Obi Kwankwaso claim sparks backlash as group dismisses allegations over PRP presidential ticket talks

The Movement, a support group aligned with former New Nigerian Peoples Party presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso, has strongly criticised the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, over comments linking both Kwankwaso and Peter Obi to alleged presidential ticket demands.

Kwankwasiyya Movement Reacts to Baba-Ahmed’s Allegation Involving Obi and Kwankwaso controversy emerged after Hakeem Baba-Ahmed stated that both political figures failed to join the PRP ahead of the 2027 general elections because their alleged demands for presidential tickets were not granted.

In a sharp response, spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Habeeb Saleh Mohammed, dismissed the allegation as baseless and accused Baba-Ahmed of attempting to attract unnecessary attention.

Habeeb Saleh Mohammed said he was not aware of any formal engagement in which Rabiu Kwankwaso or Peter Obi demanded presidential tickets from the PRP, insisting that no such negotiations ever took place to his knowledge.

According to him, the claims circulating in public space do not reflect any documented meeting or verified discussion involving the political figures and the party leadership.

“Well, I believe every Nigerian that is actually familiar with the situation will tell you that the PRP made an appeal on national television,” Habeeb Saleh Mohammed said, referring to an invitation reportedly extended by the party.

Kwankwasiyya Movement Refutes Baba-Ahmed’s Statement on Obi and Kwankwaso has since sparked wider political debate, with supporters of the movement insisting that the narrative being pushed is misleading and politically motivated.
