Yusuf spoke on Wednesday while representing the President at the commissioning of Section III of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Expressway.
He said investment in major road infrastructure was essential to connecting communities, improving the movement of goods and services, and creating a more supportive environment for businesses.

Yusuf highlighted the importance of the Kano-Zaria corridor, noting that Kano serves as a major commercial and industrial centre for several states in the region.
According to him, better road connections could support agricultural production, expand access to markets and create opportunities for traders, transport operators and other businesses.
“Improved transportation links are expected to support agricultural production, expand market access and create better opportunities for traders, transport operators and other businesses,” he said.
The governor added that sustained investment in critical infrastructure would help drive economic growth and improve the movement of people and goods across the country.
He also called for continued collaboration between the Federal Government and state governments to address infrastructure gaps and accelerate development.
