The former Kano State governor said he remains a committed member of the APC and has no intention of joining the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), contrary to claims circulating on social media.
In a statement issued on Friday by his former Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, Ganduje said the reports were part of a deliberate campaign to mislead the public and create unnecessary political tension.
He said the circulation of posters alleging his defection was intended to confuse party supporters and fuel speculation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The claims were part of a deliberate misinformation campaign aimed at misleading the public, creating confusion among APC supporters, and generating unnecessary political speculation,” the statement said.
Ganduje also rejected suggestions that he had considered leaving the APC, insisting there was no political or logical basis for the reports.
According to the statement, the former party chairman remains committed to supporting the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
“He has never considered leaving the APC, a party he once led as National Chairman,” the statement added.
The former governor maintained that the APC continues to strengthen its position as Nigeria’s largest political party under President Tinubu’s leadership and reaffirmed his support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Ganduje further disclosed that those responsible for producing and circulating the alleged defection posters had been identified.
He warned that legal action would be taken if the materials were not withdrawn and the spread of what he described as false claims continued.
The development comes amid increased political realignments and speculation ahead of the 2027 elections, with several parties seeking to attract influential political figures.

Ganduje, however, urged APC members, supporters and the public to disregard the reports, stressing that the posters do not reflect his political position or future plans.
