FredFish Urges APC Governors Over Negative Fubara Claims

FredFish calls on APC Governors to act over alleged exclusion linked to Fubara, calling for fairness, justice and internal democracy

Youth activist Dr. Tom FredFish has called on governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC), operating under the Progressive Governors Forum, to speak out against what he described as politically motivated exclusion involving Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his supporters.

FredFish appeals to APC Governors for action on Fubara issue comments were made in a statement on Monday, where he accused party stakeholders of undermining internal democracy through alleged screening out of individuals aligned with the Rivers governor.

He claimed that loyalists of Governor Siminalayi Fubara were being sidelined during APC primary processes, while newer entrants into the party structure were allegedly being favoured due to their political alignment with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

According to him, such developments threaten fairness within the party and promote a political culture where loyalty to influential figures outweighs democratic participation and due process.

FredFish stressed that Governor Siminalayi Fubara should be accorded the same recognition, privileges and political space as other APC governors, including the opportunity to seek re-election without intimidation or interference.

He urged the Progressive Governors Forum to move beyond silence and actively defend what he described as justice and fairness within the party’s internal structure.

The activist further called on the governors to consider a collective engagement with President Bola Tinubu, aimed at addressing concerns over alleged political marginalisation and ensuring equal treatment for all serving governors.

FredFish warned that failure to address such internal tensions could weaken trust in party structures and send a negative message to young Nigerians who value loyalty and democratic participation.
