The NLC has expressed full support for the industrial action, describing the strike as justified amid persistent violations of workers’ rights by the FCTA management and political leadership.
Protesters carried placards with messages including “Wike must go!!”, “Abuja no be Rivers”, “Pay promotion arrears”, “Enough is Enough”, and “No working tools”.
The demonstration highlights the growing tension between the FCTA workforce and authorities over unpaid benefits, inadequate working conditions, and delayed promotions.
