In a formal disclaimer issued from the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Presidency said it had become aware of attempts by the individual to present himself as holding an official position within the current administration.
The statement clarified that no such organisation exists under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and no appointment has been made in that regard.
“It has come to the notice of the Federal Government of Nigeria and specifically the Office of the Chief of Staff to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR that a certain Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi… is portraying himself to the general public as having been appointed by my office,” the statement read.
The Presidency stressed that the alleged council is not recognised within any structure of government and urged the public to disregard the claims entirely.
It further warned diplomatic missions, financial institutions, development organisations and security agencies to be cautious of any correspondence or engagement linked to the purported body.
“Such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard,” it added.
The disclaimer, signed by the Chief of Staff, reinforced the government’s position and cautioned against misinformation capable of misleading both the public and international partners.
The statement concluded with a firm rejection of the claims, stating that the notice should serve as an official clarification.
