The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Enugu State, Dr Chukwuemeka Chukwu, disclosed this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu, where he outlined the commission’s level of preparedness for the forthcoming exercise.

Dr Chukwuemeka Chukwu stated that non-sensitive election materials had already been sorted and were being deployed to the six local government areas that make up the Enugu North senatorial district, in line with INEC’s logistical plan for the Enugu North senatorial by-election.

He explained that the materials would first be moved to local government area offices before further distribution to Registration Area Centres to ensure smooth coordination and timely deployment.

The electoral official also confirmed that all Bimodal Voter Accreditation System devices had been fully configured and charged to support seamless voter accreditation during the poll.

According to him, the commission had completed stakeholder engagements at state, senatorial and local government levels, with strong participation from political actors and civil society representatives.

Dr Chukwuemeka Chukwu added that feedback from these engagements had helped INEC address concerns ahead of the Enugu North senatorial by-election, strengthening public confidence in the process.
