Emeka Ike NDC primary protest erupts as Nollywood actor Emeka Ike challenges NDC AMAC primary result at INEC office in Abuja

Emeka Ike NDC primary protest unfolded as the actor expressed strong dissatisfaction with the conduct and result of the internal party election, which he alleges was marred by irregularities.

The actor, who recently declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, reportedly lost the party’s primary election, prompting his visit to the electoral body’s office to formally air his grievances.

At the INEC premises, Emeka Ike addressed officials in a heated exchange, insisting that he would not remain silent over what he described as a flawed process.

In a visibly emotional appeal, he criticised the electoral process, declaring that aspirants were left without proper accountability during the conduct of the primaries.

Emeka Ike NDC primary protest drew attention as he warned that he would continue to challenge the outcome, stating that the electoral commission would not be exempt from scrutiny over the matter.

He also rejected what he termed a lack of transparency in the process, maintaining that he acted both as a political aspirant and as a concerned citizen seeking fairness within the system.

The incident adds to growing tensions within the NDC following recent internal elections, with multiple aspirants across different constituencies expressing dissatisfaction over the conduct of party primaries.
