Buba Galadima calls Kano Governor Abba Yusuf’s defection to APC the worst betrayal, saying January 23 should be marked as World Betrayal Day.

Galadima made the comments when Governor Yusuf resigned from the NNPP, should be marked every year as World Betrayal Day.

The elder statesman added that the defection was motivated by personal interest and represented a betrayal of the people of Kano.

“I have grey hairs on my head. I’m well above 75 years of age and if I could shed tears on anything, it must have touched me beyond expression because I don’t give in to sentiments,” Galadima said.

He further compared the move to historic betrayals, saying, “This betrayal is the third in the history of humanity. It follows Judas’ betrayal of Jesus, and the second was Brutus against Caesar.”
