Bejide Calls for Bold Leadership Reform Ahead of 2026 Poll

ADC candidate Dare Bejide urges Bold Leadership Reform as he mobilises supporters to challenge Ekiti’s ruling party in 2026.

African Democratic Congress governorship candidate Ambassador Dare Bejide said in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday that Nigeria requires Bold Leadership Reform driven by focus, commitment and effective planning to overcome its mounting challenges.

Bejide made the remarks at the ADC Secretariat on Basiri Road shortly after returning from Abuja, where he received his certificate of return as the party’s flag bearer for the 2026 Ekiti governorship election.

He urged party members to remain united and work tirelessly to dislodge the ruling party in the state.

He acknowledged that removing an incumbent government is never straightforward, but said the ADC is strategically positioned to win the 2026 poll.

Bejide vowed that the party would work hard to install an ADC-led administration committed to transparent governance.

Addressing insecurity, he argued that governments at all levels must prioritise job creation, especially for young people, noting that unemployment continues to fuel crime and violence.

He recommended establishing skill acquisition centres across the country and making agriculture more attractive to youths as part of a broader national productivity drive.

Bejide also condemned a recent attack on the ADC Secretariat, describing the incident as a sign that the party is viewed as a growing threat by the ruling establishment.

He confirmed that the incident had been reported to security agencies in Abuja.

On state allocations, he urged leaders to reject mismanagement, corruption and maladministration, insisting that prudent use of resources remains central to resolving Nigeria’s long-standing problems.
