BAT Vanguard endorses President Tinubu for 2027, pledging 10 million votes and launching social programs under the Renewed Hope agenda
The support group, Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Vanguard, yesterday endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, pledging to deliver 10 million votes to secure his re-election in the 2027 general election.

The endorsement was made during the group’s end-of-year party and special recognition awards ceremony in Abuja, themed “Standing Firm for Renewed Hope: The BAT Vanguard Mandate.”
Hon. Sola Olofin, convener of the group and chairman of the board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), said the endorsement was driven by the need to give the country another opportunity for “performing, capacity, vision and proven leadership,” hallmarks of Tinubu’s administration since 2023.
Olofin revealed that BAT Vanguard would launch a national social investment initiative in 2026 under the Renewed Hope vision, targeting 50,000 vulnerable households with food, school materials, and welfare support.
He commended Tinubu for taking bold decisions postponed for decades, including fiscal reforms, subsidy rationalisation, investor confidence restoration, infrastructure development, and the redesign of social investment programmes.
“We believe the reforms must be consolidated, and President Tinubu remains the best leader to complete this transformation,” Olofin said.
“BAT Vanguard is repositioning itself not just as a campaign structure but as a governance-support institution. Our objective is clear: mobilise and deliver no fewer than 10 million votes for President Tinubu.”
Dr O’Diakpo Obire, another chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighted the President’s reforms since May 2023, spanning economic restructuring, fiscal discipline, infrastructure renewal, energy sector interventions, and targeted social programmes.
Obire emphasised that public understanding and grassroots support are essential for the success of these reforms.
He said BAT Vanguard’s role includes countering misinformation, explaining government programmes, and ensuring citizens appreciate the long-term benefits of policies.

“As we approach the 2027 elections, BAT Vanguard must strengthen structures, engage youth and women, establish policy advocacy desks, and galvanise support to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election for continuity, stability, and consolidation,” he said.
