Former media aide to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has claimed that former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso is more strategic and accommodating in politics than African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential hopeful Peter Obi.

Bashir Ahmad Kwankwaso Peter Obi comparison emerged in a post on X, formerly Twitter, where Ahmad responded to comments about recent political alignments ahead of the 2027 general election.
Ahmad argued that Kwankwaso has demonstrated stronger political structure by accommodating supporters of rival politicians and using the opportunity to expand his influence.
He further stated that Kwankwaso’s approach highlights a contrast between politics driven by organisation and that driven primarily by popularity.
According to him, Kwankwaso’s ability to absorb and integrate political supporters sets him apart in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
The remarks were made in reaction to a social media post suggesting that Kwankwaso was focusing on expanding his ideological reach across regions.
