Ararume described Tinubu as a leader who has performed well in office and deserves another four years to consolidate ongoing reforms.
He emphasised that the president has a constitutional right to seek a second term.
The politician cautioned against inaccurate narratives about the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Nigeria’s political system, stressing that the country operates a multiparty democracy with over 40 registered political parties.
“Every Nigerian has the freedom to join any political party of choice. Members of the APC are neither forced nor coerced,” he said.
Ararume also highlighted that political realignments are not new, recalling similar movements during the era of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He asserted that the APC functions as a united family, collaborating across federal, state, and local government levels, and that the party remains steadfast behind Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The former senator encouraged both existing and new party members to participate in the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise.
Regarding Imo State, Ararume acknowledged Governor Hope Uzodimma is in his final term, expressing confidence that APC’s eventual candidates at all levels would be competent and widely accepted.
