The warning was contained in a statement issued on Monday by Yilwatda’s Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki.
According to the APC chairman, the party would not tolerate violence, unrest or anti-party activities during the primary elections, stressing that offenders could face suspension and other disciplinary measures.
“We will not tolerate any form of violence or actions that could undermine the credibility of the primaries,” Yilwatda stated.
The APC chairman urged aspirants to place the party’s collective interest above personal ambition, noting that democratic contests naturally produce only one winner.
“In every democratic contest, only one person will emerge victorious. What is important is the spirit with which the process is approached,” he added.
Nentawe Yilwatda further called on aspirants and party stakeholders to show maturity and sportsmanship by accepting the outcome of the primaries peacefully.
He also appealed to members to avoid actions capable of creating unnecessary political tension, stressing the importance of unity and cooperation within the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC chairman reaffirmed the party’s support for the administration of Bola Tinubu, highlighting ongoing reforms and infrastructure projects as key priorities of the government.
Yilwatda also assured party members that the APC leadership remained committed to fairness, inclusiveness and internal cohesion throughout the primary election process.
